What do you wish you could do more every day?

I wish I knew what to say

Every time I speak I pray

every moment, every day

every week,

in every way

When I pray I must say “thank you”

The Lord’s Prayer first

then several “bless, yous”

To the people who have helped me

to the people he brought, kindly

I ask He cover them in Grace

I ask that He will keep them safe

I have nothing but my faith

keeping me upright when the world quakes

Next I try to sit and listen

quiet time with He Who’s Risen

Holy Spirit’s gift is given

So that I can truly listen

I sign off with an “Amen”

Sign of the Cross

Then thanks, again

I feel lighter, I feel ready

I feel strong and I feel steady

The armor I wear is not too heavy

because at least today, I’m ready
