For me, loneliness stems from a deep dissatisfaction with where I’m currently located. I’m far away from my family and among cold people in a frigid world.

I miss the noises from all around, loud and soft. They signified that I wasn’t alone in the world. They signified that my life had some meaning: to protect and fight for my siblings.

Now I have none of that. It’s just me and my cat on our own.
